My husband and I have lived in our first home for a little over a year and a half.  In that time, we have learned many of the ins-and-outs of our home that we couldn’t have known before we purchased it.  We have learned little things about our home that make us smile, and some things that make us want to pull our hair out!  Our kitchen pantry (or lack there of) causes the latter.

We don’t have a designated pantry area in our kitchen at this point.  We are using the two cabinets on either side of the stove as a pantry.  As you can see from the picture above, prior to the organization, the pantry was not in a good state.  Everything was just tossed into the pantry with ZERO organization in place.  I had no clue how much of anything I had!  I was constantly buying duplicates and triplicates of everything because I could easily access what I had!

When I saw these soda can organizers at the Dollar Tree, I knew that they would be the perfect solution for our pantry!  These easily fit multiple cans and are the perfect width and depth for our cabinets!  Organizing our space was going to be the EASIEST project!

To start, I needed to clean out my pantry!  I took EVERYTHING out of both cabinets and organized it!  Would you believe that I had not duplicates, but TRIPLICATES of several products?!?  I couldn’t see exactly what I had with my previous system of organization!  Embarrassingly enough, I found a few cans that had expired a several years ago…We have moved since they expired…We were moving expired food…How embarrassing…

Once I organized all the product I was keeping and disposed of what was no longer wanted, I needed to label the organizers.  Luckily, the Dollar Tree had the perfect product for this project!  These Adhesive Label Holders work PERFECTLY to label each container!

These were such a great invention!  Simply write the name on the provided yardstick and slip it into the adhesive sleeve!  Then, you can just stick it onto the organizer!

There you have it!  A simple, easy, DIY, inexpensive way to organize your pantry!  Total investment for this project for me was $16!  Now, I love to go to my kitchen, open my pantry, and admire how organized the space is!

  1. You have some amazing ideas! I haven’t seen these in our DT. I have been searching for ways to make my pantry more streamlined and organized and I think these would be the thing! It would be a blessing to have them.

    1. I love your ideas! I’ve been trying to find a REALLY good dollar tree to shop at. My local one is not the greatest (It’s really small) and there’s one about 30 min. away and it’s not too great either. TFS! 🙂

  2. Loved the way you organized the pantry. I need to see if my DT has those organizers for cans. Such a great idea! Thank you! Came from YT!

  3. Just recently can across your YouTube channel and I love your videos. You have some good Dollar Trees by you I can never find anything for organizing at my local ones…some how everyone always beats me to the good stuff! Would love to win those can organizers I’ve been looking for what seems like forever for those things!

  4. It never occurred to me to use those to hold my cans, I had seen them before but haven’t in a long time. I have your same issue I don’t have a pantry . And pretty much put my groceries wherever I can make them fit. I think it’s a great idea and would save me a lot of space if I can find them 🙂 thank you for sharing your ideas.

  5. Just discovered your YouTube channel and blog. Loving them! Three Dollar Trees later, still none of the can storage bins. 😦 Thanks for the opportunity to win some!

  6. I love your channel. This was a very helpful video. I’m in the process of doing a lot of organization in my home & would love to win these can organizers. I’ve been trying to find them for months. Thank you for doing a giveaway . Looking forward to more videos from you😊

  7. This is such a great idea! I to find myself wanting to pull out my hair over the state of kitchen. I share the space with two other people who are not as neat as they could be. I do the best I can! I appreciate this though, the labels might be a nice way to get everyone on the same page!

  8. These are such great suggestions! We also have two cabinets as our “pantry” and we have 3 kids…I’m always looking for better storage ideas. Making it easy for all of us is imperative… 🙂

  9. Just love your channel! Now will enjoy ur blog too! Love the soda can organizer idea….I want b to organize my fridge with them…as I meal prep every week…will help keep things organized

  10. I love this idea and I love your youtube channel (that’s where I found you). Those dollar tree labels remind me of the ones you got at Goodwill a few weeks back (originally from the Dollar Spot at Target, I believe), and then that very same week I found them at mine as well! I love them!
